MACEDONIA - Aimee Elizabeth Newell, age 56, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. She was born on May 23, 1969, at Marymount Hospital in Garfield Heights, Ohio. She was the beloved daughter of the late Carole Rusher Newell and Donald Newell.
Aimee’s life was shaped by deep love and profound loss. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Yvonne, and her cherished baby boy, Joseph.
She is survived by her dear sisters, Donna (Joseph) DeBolt, Sharon Newell, and Jennifer Newell, to whom she was a devoted and loving sister; and cherished by her nieces and nephews as a loving and caring aunt. She is also lovingly remembered by her best friend, Lennette Brophy, who held a special place in Aimee’s heart.
Despite enduring more heartbreak than most, Aimee carried herself with a quiet strength that never wavered. She fought hard and loved fiercely, facing life’s challenges with determination and grace. Aimee was smart, hilarious, stubborn, witty, sarcastic, and deeply caring. Her laugh could light up a room and stay with you long after. She had a way of showing love through small but unforgettable gestures - sneaking folded-up money when you weren’t looking, taking you out to eat when you just needed to get away, or spoiling you on shopping trips. She loved her family and friends with everything she had, along with game shows, vacations, trips to the casino, and the joy of spending time together.
She worked at Rockwell Automation, where many of her coworkers became close friends, drawn to her honesty, dedication, and the respect she earned simply by being herself. Even during her hardest moments, she remained more concerned about others than herself, an unmistakable reflection of her generous and selfless heart.
Aimee’s passing has left an immeasurable void. She will be missed for her voice, her laugh, her love, and her constant presence. While the loss feels unbearably unfair, there is comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain and has been reunited with Joseph, her mom, and her sister, Yvonne.
Heaven has gained a beautiful soul. May she finally know the peace she so deeply deserves. Aimee will be loved, missed, and remembered always.
Family and friends will be received Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 3 - 6 PM, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, 44224.
