Alice E. Littlefield

STOW - Alice E. Littlefield, 101, of Stow, OH, formerly of Frewsburg, NY, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025, in Arbors at Stow.

She was born on June 18, 1924, at home, in Frewsburg, NY, a daughter of the late Edwin W. and Lorene Griffin Carlson. Alice attended Jamestown High School, and is a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Stow, and a former member of Zion Lutheran Church.

A dedicated homemaker, she was a member of many organizations including Carroll and Kiantone Senior Citizens, Carroll Historical Society, American Legion Samuel Derby Post #556 Auxiliary, Thule Lodge 127, and the Jamestown Vikings Ingjald Lodge #65.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Janet E. (James) Erickson; son, Larry K. (Carol) Nelson; three grandchildren, Brian C. (Sara) Nelson, Kristen E. (Jeffrey) Gardner and Ashley L. (Doug) Hebebrand; eight great-grandchildren, Evan Gardner, Isaac Gardner, Kiera Gardner, Deacen Nelson, Jack Nelson, Cade Nelson, Clara Jo Hebebrand and Nellie Lynne Hebebrand.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence C. Chamberlin (1975), Alton J. Villiesse (1985) and Leonard F. Littlefield (2001), and four brothers, Lyle E. Carlson, Leonard H. Carlson, Erwin O. Carlson and Vernon H. Carlson.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM, on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in PETERSON FUNERAL HOME, 12 North Pearl Street, Frewsburg, NY 14738. Pastor Philip Roushey will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.

Friends will be received for one hour prior, 12-1 PM, on Wednesday, in the funeral home.
