Obituary of Arbutus L. Robinson



STOW - Arbutus Leone (Bobbie) Robinson, 91, has gone home to be with the Lord March 4, 2015.



She was born April 27, 1923 in Marion Center, PA where she, along with her sister Marie, lived 10 years with grandparents Etta and Frank Fleming, since their mother had passed away when she was 2 years old. She lived in Akron and graduated from Garfield High School, moving to Stow in 1950.



She worked at MACtac, retiring after 25 years, enjoying every year spent there. Her hobbies were crocheting, sewing and gardening. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time in the winter months in AZ with Dave, her husband of 45 years. A member of the First Evangelical Congregational Church in Akron since 1935, she had also attended Stow Alliance Fellowship.



Preceded in death by her husband Dave and infant son Dennis Allen, her parents, stepmother, grandparents, sister and aunts and uncles, she is survived by son David A. Robinson, Jr., daughter Janet (Keith) Sturgill; 3 grandchildren David A. III, Linda Robinson and Sheila Sturgill; 4 great-grandchildren; sister Doris Willis; cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.



Rev. Scott Carr will conduct service Monday 11 AM at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call from 10 AM until service time. Burial Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the First Evangelical Congregational Church, 2242 Canterbury Circle, Akron 44319.
