MUNROE FALLS - Arthur E. Vogel, 82, passed away November 20, 2014.
Born in Akron, Arthur had been a resident of Munroe Falls for over 50 years. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and monthly retiree breakfasts. Arthur was a charter member of St. Eugene Catholic Church where he served as an usher, he served his country in the Army during the Korean conflict, and had retired in 1994 from F.W. Albrecht Grocery Co. after more than 47 years of service.
Preceded in death by his parents John Andrew and Irene Waring Vogel, he is survived by his wife of 57 ½ years, Frances; children Joseph, Kenneth (Darlene), Susan, and Stephen (Tami); 10 grandchildren; brother, John; and the family's beloved Bichon, Oscar.
The family would like to thank the employees of Bath Creek Estates, the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky,Hospice in Sandusky and theneighbors of Castle Drivefor their care and kindness.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Monday 5:30 to 8 PM. Father Neil Crosby will celebrate Mass of Christian Burial at St. Eugene Catholic Church Tuesday 10 AM. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
