STOW- Bessie L. Abbott, 94, died October 5, 2013. Born in Akron, she had lived in Parkersburg, WV for many years before settling in the Akron area. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and Covenant Baptist Church in Barberton and retired from Akron General Medical Center.
Preceded in death by her husband Daniel in 1969, and by her parents Harry Florence and Norma Dent Florence, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Linda and Michael Rush; brothers Howard Florence (Katherine), Jack Florence, Calvin Florence (Judy), sisters Marion Pauline Eaton and Patricia Williamson (Bill), and many nieces and nephews.
PastorTammy Marks of AseraCare Hospice will conduct service TODAY, Monday October 7, 2013at 4PM at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call for visitation from 2 PM until 4 PM. Private burial Greenlawn Memorial Park.
