Betty Ann Stewart

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Betty Ann Stewart, 88, passed away peacefully at her home on August 13, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on December 26, 1936, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Alvin and Catherine Rhodes, Betty grew up in Suffield before making Cuyahoga Falls her lifelong home.

For over 30 years, Betty worked in medical offices, where patients and colleagues consistently recognized her reliability, kindness and genuine care. Outside of work, she filled her life with the things she loved most - attending Mass, polka dancing, gardening, exploring the trails of Summit County and most especially, creating memories with her family and friends.

She shared an unshakable bond with her sister and soulmate, Janice Dew, and treasured their many adventures together. Her sixteen consecutive years completing the Summit Metro Parks Hiking Spree with her dear friend, Joan Bowles, reflected both her love of the outdoors and her determination.

Betty’s warmth, humor and easy smile made every family gathering brighter and she delighted in the milestones, big and small, of her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Pam Klemm (Greg) and Nancy Bowles (Mark); grandchildren, Jeff Klemm (Jillian), Kevin Klemm (Angela), Madeline Klemm, Andrew Klemm, Isabelle Bowles, Emma Bowles and Sarah Bowles; great-grandchildren, Silas, Juni and Jonah; sister-in-law, Diane Rhodes, and many nieces, nephews and friends who will carry her memory forward. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Eddie, Richard and Bill, and her beloved grandson, Alexander.

A private funeral Mass will be held for the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Betty’s memory be made to the F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm at 1828 Smith Road, Akron, OH 44313.

Betty will be remembered for her steadfast love, her joyful spirit and the way she lived her life with grace, loyalty and laughter. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
