STOW - Brian M. Banks, 70, died March 3, 2023.
Known for his fun-loving personality and genuine kindness, Brian was a true "Renaissance Man" to his friends. As an avid camper, he enjoyed exploring historic towns. Some of that exploring included searching out vintage stores with his loving wife of 34 years. He had a great eye for finding treasures to display in their home. Brian also had a thirst for listening to the greats of Jazz as well as being a talented musician in his own right. As a party host, he was always a joy to be around, especially when you heard him laugh. He enjoyed model trains and airplanes and was a skillful painter and black-and-white photographer. Those who were lucky enough to talk history with him were impressed at his knowledge of the Civil War and his extensive historical library. His kindness touched many lives; he will be truly missed.
Born in Maple Heights, Ohio, he was a Stow resident for the last 32 years and was a chemist whose fondest memories were of his years working at Benjamin Moore.
Preceded in death by his parents, William and Catheryn (nee Ondracek) Banks, he is survived by his wife, Gloria Admire; son, Daniel Banks; daughter, Katie (Andy) Craven; granddaughter, Alice Craven, and sisters, Kathleen Hartley and Jacquelyn Banks.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 11, 10 AM, at Christ Community Chapel, 750 W. Streetsboro Street, Hudson 44236. Burial at All Saints Cemetery in Northfield at 1 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital ~
