STOW - Brian Malachy Quinn, 60, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 21, 2026. A private burial will take place on a future date.

Brian was born October 13, 1965, in Ashland, Ohio, the son of Gerard and Jean (Marchionno) Quinn. After graduating from St. Pius X High School in Pottstown, PA, he attended the University of Akron where he earned a BS in Physics (1997), MS in Physics (1999), and an MBA (2015). He worked as a teaching assistant in the Physics Department for many years before becoming a hedge fund analyst at Warther Financial Group where he worked for the past twelve years.

Brian was a kind and thoughtful brother. He loved his cats. His passion was painting and illustrating with a lifelong hobby of collecting stamps and miniature soldiers - many hand-painted by Brian. His creativity had in recent years taken him to illustrating fiction magazines, but he never gave up painting childhood scenes of animals such as the Peter Cottontail series. Though not much of a cook, he very much enjoyed eating his sister’s cooking.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his siblings, Sharon Ann Quinn, (Columbus, OH), Christopher Gerard Quinn; sister-in-law, Tracey Cosgrove (Cedar Rapids, IA), and niece, Emerson Cosgrove Quinn, (Santa Barbara, CA).

“Uncle Hiccups” will be missed.
