AURORA – Bruce Putnat, 76, died April 15, 2026.
Born in Maple Heights, Bruce was a proud Navy veteran who served 2 tours in Vietnam. He was a man who found purpose in both his beliefs and his hands. His Catholic faith guided his life, grounding him in kindness, humility, and quiet strength. Professionally and personally, he was a gifted mechanic who could fix just about anything. He loved to tinker. Didn’t matter if it was a car, motorcycle, or boat; he just loved to tinker. When he wasn’t in the garage, he could be found fishing on the waters or riding his motorcycle, enjoying nature’s beauty.
Preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Evelyn Putnat, and his brother, Larry Putnat, he is survived by his children, Christopher Putnat (Miriam) and Holly Putnat; grandchildren, Anthony and Antoinette; and siblings, Dale Putnat and Barbara Stark.
