Carolyn Marie Cook

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Carolyn Marie Cook, a woman who loved God, went to her eternal home on August 23, 2024. A native of Akron, Ohio, Carolyn was the eldest of three children born to Charles and Opal Monk on May 8, 1943.

Carolyn enjoyed working with people and found joy in the simple things in life, being with friends, neighbors, family, and her cats, especially “Miss Kitty."  Carolyn loved her church and was a woman of simple faith in Jesus.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond L. Cook; her parents, Charles and Opal Monk; her sister, Donna Jean Monk, and her nephew, Charles Christopher Monk. She is survived by her brother, Charles R. Monk (Emily); her niece, Elizabeth (Leroy) Parker, and her “Shumate Cousins”, Diane, Marilyn, Linda, Ilene, Sharon, Tommy, Sandy, Cathy, Nancy, and Jana, together with her stepsons, David Cook, Robert (Traudy) Cook, and James (Cheryl) Cook, and their children and grandchildren.

Committal service will be held at 12:15 PM, Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, OH 44273. Anyone wishing to attend should arrive 20 minutes prior to the service time.
