Charles J. Gallagher

SILVER LAKE - Charles J. Gallagher, Jr., 87, died October 16, 2016.


Born in Sharon, PA, he was a longtime area resident and a US Navy veteran of the Korean War. He received his Masters of Social Work from Case Western University working in this field for many years before retiring.

He is survived by his daughters Nancy Gallagher and Erin Wolohan; 6 grandchildren; sister & brother-in-law Lois and Dave Mitcheltree, brother-in-law Jack Cardille, many nieces and nephews. Also, he leaves behind good friend and companion Angie Barone and will be greatly missed by all of his Euchre playing friends who cared about him. Charlie loved all his family and friends and dogs Buddy and Bear.

Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Saturday 1 to 3 PM. Private interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to PetGuards, 4040 State Road, Cuyahoga Falls 44223.
