STOW – Cheryl A. (née Curry) Peery, 65, passed away on August 13, 2026.
She was born May 21, 1961, in Cleveland, OH, and her family later moved to Twinsburg, where she attended local schools and graduated from R.B. Chamberlin High School in 1979. She earned an associate degree in accounting from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2016.
Cheryl was employed with Ohio Bell (SBC/AT&T), serving in various managerial positions until 2009. She continued in similar roles throughout the area before joining First Communications as a Service Manager, retiring in 2023. She had been a resident of Stow since 1994.
Cheryl was a firm believer in Christ and attended Destiny Church in Twinsburg. She was an avid sports fan who enjoyed supporting youth league, high school, college, and professional sporting events. In her spare time, she loved to travel and tend to her flower and vegetable gardens. She took great joy in hosting holiday gatherings, baking, and preparing special meals for her family. Her pride and joy were the Annual Family and Friends Picnic, held for over 20 years in Stow.
Preceded in death by her parents, Loretta Curry and John Curry Sr., She will be lovingly remembered by her spouse of 36 years, Reece Peery Jr.; her three children, Christina Billips, Renden (Sarah Rose), and Cierra; and her four siblings, John Jr. (Ella) Curry, Steven (Vanessa) Curry, Charles (Shanina) Curry, and Keith Curry. She leaves behind her wonderful and precious five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Pastor Trent Thomas of Twinsburg Destiny Church will be conducting services for Cheryl on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Hope Community Church, 3033 Middleton Rd., Hudson, OH 44236. Friends and family may call beginning at 10:00 a.m., with her celebration of life commencing at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, 8592 Darrow Rd., Twinsburg, OH 44087.
