Obituary of Craig S Ball

Craig S. Ball, 55, of Akron passed away November 6, 2017. A son of Barbara (Haft) and the late Milo C. Ball, he was born September 5, 1962 in Akron. On September 10, 1988 he married the former Christine Fatica, with whom he spent 29 years of marriage before his passing.

Craig graduated with a bachelor's degree in education from Kent State University. He worked for Fuchs Lubricants in the inside sales department and was a member of the OHSAA, where he worked as a lacrosse official. Craig was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Craig was an avid cyclist, who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, various crafts and vacationing with his family at the beach. Left behind to honor his memory is his wife Christine Ball; two sons Stephen and Daniel Ball; mother Barbara Ball; his brother David Ball; father and mother-in-law William and Barbara Fatica; sister-in-law Lisa (Brian) Lay; brother-in-law Bill Fatica; and many nieces and nephews. Craig was preceded in death by his father Milo and his sister Cynthia Lynn Ball.

Memorial service will be held Friday 7:00 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call from 6 PM until service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Craig's name to the Cancer Research Institute.
