Hartville
- HARTVILLE - Cynthia Louise Smith (nee Shaffer) was born September 12, 1938, to Oliver and Beulah Shaffer.
- She lived in Ohio all her life and still loved to remember "the farm," swimming in Yellow Creek with siblings, cousins, and friends, and ice skating on ponds in Northampton. She passed away on December 28, 2025, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
- She is the beloved wife of Kenneth Smith for over 70 years. Together they raised four daughters: Deb Jones of Pensacola, FL, Tami Roberts of Ravenna, Cindy Foraker of North Canton, and Rene Cerasuolo of Stow.
- Cynthia liked to read, work jigsaw puzzles, and travel with her family. She was a committed wife and mother, a hard worker, and faithful friend. In addition to her husband and daughters, she is survived by nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
- If you would like to make a donation in Cynthia’s name, we recommend Crossroads Hospice, 10810 E. 45th Street, Suite 300, Tulsa, OK 74146, or Mulberry Gardens Memory Care, 47 Steeplechase Lane, Munroe Falls, Ohio 44262, because of the exceptional care she received from those organizations.
- There are no services planned per Cynthia’s request.
- We are confident she is healed in body and mind and celebrating with Jesus!
