D. Patrick Loyd

D. Patrick Loyd, 75, passed away on November 2, 2012 at Laurel Lake surrounded by his family and friends. Pat was born in Wichita, KS to the late Dossie and Faye (Reed) Loyd. He graduated from Kansas State University and married Catherine (Newman) on January 11, 1958. Pat served in the National Guard for 11 years and he spent 31 years working at GE Lighting. He retired to the Cleveland area in 1996.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, his only brother, and his wife, Catherine, of 46 years, He will be deeply missed by his 3 children, Marcia (McFlynn) Wright, Pamela (Ron) Balawender, David (Andrea) Loyd and his 8 grandchildren, McKenna, Ahleah, Brooke, Cassie, Drew, Dillon, Dianna and Davey.

A service with reception following for his Laurel Lake friends will be held at the Serenity Chapel at Laurel Lake on Thursday, November 8th from 3:00 to 4:30 PM. A celebration of life for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 9th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the Hampton Inn, 4331 Lakepoint Corp. Dr, Stow, OH.
