Dale "Ed" Edwin Ratchford
Psalm 116:15 "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints."
Ed Ratchford, 61, found his glory on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. He was born in Gadsden, Alabama on February 27, 1953. He retired from the City of Hudson Engineering Department after 30 years of service. His life's focus, however, was doing Christ's work, and loving his family. Ed was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church in Kent, Ohio. A few of his many hobbies included storytelling, woodworking, fishing, playing cards, cooking, and spending time with his wife, family, and friends.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 34 years, Michelle, and their children Rachel and Nate Gurnish, Diane and Lee Hutchings, and Joel and Leah Ratchford. Ed leaves a legacy of Christ's love for his grandchildren, Jack, McKenzie, Jedd, Harper, Ike, Kennedy, and an abundance of loving family and friends.
Please join us for a celebration of his earthly life, and the beginning of his eternal life in Heaven on Sunday, November 9, 2014, at 1:30pm. The gathering will take place at Grace Baptist Church, 5915 Rhodes Road, Kent, Ohio 44220.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace Baptist Church.
