David A. Allen

STOW - David A. Allen, 72, went home to be with the Lord on December 12, 2015.

Dave was born in Steubenville, Ohio on December 11, 1943. A graduate of Steubenville High School, Dave went on to work and retire from the Chrysler Stamping Plant in Twinsburg. Dave attended Stow Alliance Fellowship church, loved fishing and hunting, woodworking, and cheering on his favorite college football team, Ohio State.

Dave is survived by his wife of 51 years, Velma Kay Allen; sons, John (Julie) Allen, Carl (Katie) Allen; daughter, Janice Allen; grandchildren, Jason, Shawn, Samantha, Christa, and John-Paul Allen. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Eleanor Allen.

Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Tuesday 5 to 8 PM, where Pastor John Kitchen will conduct a funeral service Wednesday at 11 AM, and where friends may call from 10 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stow Alliance Fellowship, 4460 Stow Road, Stow, Ohio 44224. Burial will follow at Silver Springs Cemetery.
