BRIMFIELD - David Gambol, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 21, 2024. He was born November 2, 1940, in Akron. David lived in Brimfield with his loving wife since 1967. He was a U.S. Army veteran and loved watching Cleveland sports, spending time with family, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, playing games on holidays, going on Sunday car rides, and getting ice cream. David enjoyed going to classic car shows, and also very much enjoyed going to, and selling items at, flea markets. He was also a member of the Ohio Bottle Club. David was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl; parents, Jesse and Modell Nellie (Adams) Gambol; siblings, Bobby, Dorothy, Linda Sue, and Carolyn, and son-in-law, Joseph Cochran. He is survived and missed by his daughter; Kimberly Cochran (Gambol) and son, David Gambol, II. He was known as "Papa" to his grandchildren, Sierra, Brianna, Dominic, Xavier, Gabrielle, and Liam, and all their friends. David is also missed by Lee Ann, Evan, Dave, family and friends. The family will receive family and friends, Monday, December 2, 2024, from 6 to 8 PM, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, where funeral service will be held 10 AM, Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 10 AM. David will be laid to rest next to his wife at Restland Cemetery in Brimfield. There will be a Celebration of Life, Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 3 PM, at the Leona Ferris Lodge, 5027 Stow Road, Stow 44224.
