STOW – Dennis (Denny) Leek, 84, passed away September 30, 2026.

Denny was the son of the late Earl and Audrey “Dot” Leek, he was born August 9, 1942, in Akron. Denny grew up in Northampton, but has been a resident of Stow since 1971. He is a U.S. Navy veteran. Denny enjoyed building and driving street rods, working in his garage and going to cruise-ins with Mary and his lifelong friends Jim & Ruth Ann Brooker and their sons Donny and Jimmy. He was always willing to help out a friend (anyone) in need and loved his family, even when they got on his nerves. Over the years Denny and Mary fostered several children. He was loved and respected by so many people, all his grandkids and great grandkids and their friends called him Pepaw.

Preceded in death by his daughter, Teri Johnson, he is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Mary Lou Leek (Zolyniak); daughter, Cherie (Craig) Schrengauer; grandchildren, Leslie (Dan) Jones, Matthew (Tiffany) Schrengauer, Alyson (Cody) Loughney; siblings, Jerry (Kathy) Leek and Linda Sells, and 8 great grandchildren; Elijah, Jaydan, Blake, Vincent, Willow, Chloe, Peyton and Rosemary.
