Denzil W. Tennant passed away peacefully at the age of 94, on October 15, to reunite with his wife of 72 years, Patsy, who left us in January.
Denzil was born in Jake's Run in Mooresville, West Virginia, in a small house tucked in the hills. He was the third youngest of thirteen children and out lived them all. He worked in the coal mines before being drafted into the Army in 1943.
Moving to Ohio in 1950, Denzil and his brother built the family's first home in Hudson. He worked for the Lawson Milk Company over 20 years before embarking on his own successful business. He was an avid golfer, locally, and out of state. The same can be said for his love of deer hunting with his buddies and sons.
Besides his parents and twelve siblings, Denzil was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Patsy. Denzil will be missed by his children, Gary Tennant, Daniel Tennant (Victoria), Mikel Tennant, Pat Hoaglin (Mark); grandchildren Dana Brauns (Norm), Daniel Hoaglin (Jenna), Jena Edwards (Paul); great granddaughters, Hayden Hoaglin and Saylor Edwards.
Friends are invited to the Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224 for visitation Friday, October 20, 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg. In lieu of flower, donations may be made to your local Salvation Army.
