Dolores Jean Fraser (nee Deist)
SILVER LAKE - Dolores Jean Fraser, 85, passed away on December 28, 2016. Born November 8, 1931, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, Dee graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University and earned a Master's Degree from Kent State University. Dee was employed by the Cuyahoga Falls Board of Education at Preston Elementary School.
Preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Ivan Vern, her parents, Harry and Florence Deist and sister, Karen Jordan. She is survived by sons, Scott (Sarah) Fraser, Mark (Lisa) Fraser, Craig Fraser (Liana Mihalca); daughter, Gayle (Steve) Barney; grandchildren, Jessica, Wesley, Rachel, Matthew, David, Austin, Georgia, Jaclyn, Dana, Kurt; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Grace, Wyatt, Lily, Sawyer, Xavier, and Raeleigh.
A private family memorial service has been held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 3725 Kent Road, Stow, OH 44224, or Lake Erie Islands Historical Society, P.O. Box 25, Put-In-Bay, Ohio 43456-0025.
