Donald L. Channell

AKRON - Donald L. Channell, at the age of 73, went home to Jesus peacefully on July 18, 2023, in Akron, Ohio. Donald was born to Bennie W. and Delva E. Channell on November 24, 1949, in Buckhannon, West Virginia.

Donald enjoyed singing in his church choir at Grace Cathedral for many years. He was passionate about helping others find salvation and praised God for multiple miracles throughout his life . . . healing hearing loss from a job injury, and nerve damage from a car accident. During his later years, he enjoyed watching service broadcasts from his home and said he was ready to meet Jesus.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn M. Channell; daughter, Cindy Channell-Phipps (Wayne Phipps); their children and grandchildren; daughter, Michelle (Jason) Waters; and their child; sister, Wilma (Jack) Mitchell; their children and grandchildren; brothers, Ronald (Pam) Channell and David Channell (Chas Brown).

Rev. Chris Machamer will conduct service, Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 10:30 AM, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, where friends may call from 9:30 AM until service time.  Burial Hillside Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Cathedral , 2700 State Road, Cuyahoga Falls 44223, for the purchase of Bibles to be used in missions.
