BATH - Donald Bruce Hibbard, age 87, of Bath, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, surrounded by his family.
Don shared a remarkable life with his wife, Geri, who was truly the love of his life and his very best friend. They shared 64 years of marriage, building a life rooted in partnership, laughter, hard work, and deep devotion to one another. If you saw Don, chances were Geri was right there beside him.
A proud and devoted father and grandfather, Don is survived by his wife, Geri Hibbard; his sons, Mike (Diane), Mark (Trisha), and Greg Hibbard; and his beloved grandchildren: Lauren (Jack), Allison, Sean, Mack, Logan, and Charlie. He took immense pride in his family and treasured time spent together, especially during gatherings filled with good food, conversation, and laughter.
Don loved to have fun and had an unforgettable sense of humor. He was always where the party was, quick with a laugh and a good story. People were naturally drawn to him, and time spent with Don was rarely quiet and never dull.
In his own thoughtful way, Don showed his love through shared passions, especially his hobby of creating leaded glass—something he enjoyed passing along to family members. He also found peace in caring for his lawns, affectionately known as his personal “Gardens of Eden,” playing golf, and traveling to Boulder City, Nevada.
Don proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps as a combat engineer. He later spent many years building businesses alongside Geri and supporting his family, including helping his sons establish Hibbard Foundations. While he was proud of his work, his true legacy lives on through his family and the love they shared.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Clara and Lorin Hibbard, and his brother, Ed Hibbard. He is also survived by his sisters, Lorene Hibbard and Katie (Jerry) Apel, who will miss him dearly.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, Ohio 44224, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at 4:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Suites, 1989 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Tunnel to Towers Foundation (T2T).
