Donald J Miller

STOW – Donald J. Miller, 98, passed away on May 7, 2026.

Born in Norwalk, Ohio, he was the son of the late Joseph and Pearl Miller. Don was a longtime resident of Stow and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He retired from Ohio Bell, where he had worked as a supervisor for many years until his retirement. Don was also a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Don enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life, including ping pong, pool, swimming, and chess. He especially loved cross-pollinating plants in his garden and tinkering with just about anything, earning him the nickname “Tinker Don.” Curious, compassionate, and generous, Don was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. His faith was deeply important to him, and he never went to bed without his rosary. He was also devoted to helping others through the many charities he supported over the years.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Miller, and granddaughter, Hannah Cole. He is survived by his daughters, Joan Hazlett (David), Deborah Pitrone (Mark), Barbara Lundin (Brian) and Mary DiVincenzo; sons, Michael Miller (Deanna) and Terry Miller (Rosi); grandchildren Sean, Melissa, Peter, Daniel, David, Kevin, Selah, Leah, Joseph, Benjamin, Rebeca, Andrew, Emily, Mariah, Scott, Adam, Thomas, Jody, Harold, and Brian; brother, Bill Miller; and many great and great-great grandchildren.

Reverend Jon Hawkins will conduct a service on May 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Road, Stow, Ohio 44224. Friends may call on May 21, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home 3633 Darrow Rd, Stow OH 44224. A private burial will be held at Grandview Cemetery, in Salem OH.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice in Don’s memory.
