Donna Sechrist

HUDSON - Donna Sechrist, 85, died March 4, 2021. Born in Cleveland, she was a resident of Stow and Hudson for many years and had retired as a French teacher from Nordonia High School in 1994. A longtime member of Riverside Alliance Church, she played the organ there and was involved in women’s ministries. Donna also enjoyed reading, sewing, and working on puzzles. Preceded in death by her husband, David in 2019, she is survived by son John (Karen) Sechrist; daughter Maryanne (Mike) Dunn; five grandchildren; brothers, Stewart (Shirley) SirLouis, David (Kathi) SirLouis, and sister Vicki (David) Groetzinger. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, March 13th at Riverside Alliance Church, 2433 S. Main Street, Akron 44319, where friends may call from 1 PM until service time. Burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Christian and Missionary Alliance Great Commission Fund.
