Dorothy Dorothy L. Sweatt

Dorothy L. Sweatt, 93, died May 29, 2013, surrounded by her family.Born in Seville, OH, Dorothy had been a resident of Cuyahoga Falls since 1950, and had worked as a secretary at Akron Children's Hospital. She was a founding member of Trinity United Methodist Church and had more recently attended Bailey Road Christian Church. She loved bowling, camping, the Cleveland Indians, and her very favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, whom she married in 1946; grandson Scott Cain; and brothers Roy and Frank. She is survived by daughters Sandy (David) Cain, Sally (Richard) Dowling and Millie Sweatt; son Henry (Penny) Sweatt; grandchildren Dawne Blackburn, Matthew Dowling, Paul Dowling, Christine Sweatt, Joshua Sweatt, Peter Sweatt, Royal Aidala, 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to the Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Sunday from 4 to 7 PM. James Yannayon will conduct a service on Monday at 10:30 AM. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
