Obituary of Dorothy E. Nelson

Dorothy E. Nelson, of Munroe Falls, died Monday evening January 8, 2018 at home.

Born February 22, 1920 in Wayne County, OH, she was the daughter of Samuel Dallas and Ethel (Rummins) Sherrets and lived in Stow until she moved to Mulberry Gardens, Munroe Falls twelve years ago. She was a charter member of the Stow Garden Club and an active member of the First Christian Church of Stow. She was a cosmotologist, who shared ownership of beauty shops with her deceased husband Ralph.

She was preceded in death by husband Ralph, and brothers Richard and Ralph. Survivors include son Ronald Carl and wife Janice of Eastlake, and daughter Shirley Lynn and husband Fred Werab of Chandler, AZ, grandchildren R. Michael and wife Michael Olson, and granddaughter Marlys Lynn and husband Tony Slone, and step-grandchildren Steve Pilar, Megan Pilar, and Danny Pilar and Christine Marie Pratt and Michael James and wife Lisa Werab, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend special appreciation to the staff and management at Mulberry Gardens and Ohio Living Hospice.

Friends are invited to the Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday, January 17th from 6 to 8 PM and where Pastor Jonathon Rumburg will conduct service Thursday, January 18th at 11 AM.
