Douglas (Doug) J. Roose

CANTON - Douglas J. Roose, 74, died February 20, 2025.

Born in Akron, he was a resident of Summit County and a U.S. Army veteran. Doug had been employed with Power Tool Repair as a repair technician, retiring in 2019. He enjoyed playing darts, bowling, cooking, and roller skating with his children and grandkids.

Preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Norma Roose; wife, Terri Paquette-Roose, he is survived by his daughters, Nanci (Mike) Duffy and Joi (Manny) Smith; grandchildren, Gage Smith, Oaklyn Smith and Axel Roose-Smith; stepgrandson, Hunter Smith; many stepchildren and stepgrandchildren, as well as his sister, Chris (Jack) Popiel.

Funeral service will be held 6 PM, Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, 44224, where friends may call 4 PM to service time. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
