Edward (Ed) Joseph Aurand

STOW - Edward Joseph Aurand, 100 years old, went home to be with the Lord on October 28, 2025.

Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou; his parents, Fred and Catherine (McGarvey) Aurand; siblings, Fred, Earl, Bill, Joyce and Evelyn, he is survived by his daughter, Sally Seitz (Forrest (Butch) of El Cajon, California, and son, Clark Aurand (Pamela) of Hudson, Ohio; grandchildren, Bradley, Christopher (Theresa), and Patrick (Katie) Aurand, all of Ohio, Steve (Tanya) Seitz, and Kelley (Brandon) Burgess, all of California, as well as great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Ava, Maverick, and Anna Aurand, Miles and Amaya Burgess, and Sophia and Emma Seitz.

Born in Cuyahoga Falls, Ed was a lifetime area resident and longtime member of First Christian Church of Stow and Star Lodge #187, F & AM. He was also a proud World War II U.S. Navy veteran. Ed retired as a Methods Engineer in 1994, from U.S. Gasket & Shim, acquired by Spirol International in 1977, after more than 44 years of service.

Ed will be very sadly missed by his friends and family; their love for him will continue forever.

Rev. Jonathan Rumburg will conduct funeral services at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 3 PM, where friends may call from 1 - 3 PM. Star Lodge #187, F & AM will conduct Masonic services to begin the service at 3 PM.

Private service and burial, with military honors provided by the U.S. Navy, will be held at Stow Cemetery.
