Edward B. (Bud) Payne, Jr.


HUDSON - Edward B. (Bud) Payne, Jr. 89, died February 24, 2015. Born in Charleroi, PA, he served his country in the Navy during WWII, worked for Goodyear Aerospace Corp for 40 years and was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls. Bud had served as the chairman of the YMCA membership campaign, coached Little League for many years, loved to travel, water ski, was a car enthusiast and enjoyed doing home remodeling with his wife.

Preceded in death by his wife Ruth in 2008, parents Bess and Edward Payne and sister Helen Moore, he is survived by daughter Sherri Payne (Tom) Jenkins, son Scott (Rebecca) Payne, grandchildren, Alex, Max, Christian and Hailey and leaves behind many friends and family.

Rev. Dr. David Baker will conduct service at the Redmon Funeral Home Friday 11 AM where friends may call Friday from 10 AM until service time. Interment Rose Hill Burial Park.
