STOW- Edward R. Walukonis went home to be with the Lord on September 22, 2013 surrounded by family and friends. He will be loved forever and missed dearly until we meet again.
Born in Muskegon, MI, on January 6, 1952, he was a Stow resident since 1978 and had been employed with Windstream for 35 years. Edward was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and golfing.
Preceded in death by his father Richard and his father-in-law Carl Walter, he is survived by his wife Barbara whom he joined in marriage on October 20, 1979; son Ryan (Amneh) Walukonis; mother Jacqueline Walukonis; sisters Janet Walker (David, deceased), Nancy (J.D.) Parr, Michelle (Walter) Meyers; brothers Michael (Ann), William (Darcy), Joseph (Julie); mother-in-law Eileen Walter; son Edward Walukonis Jr; daughter Jessica Casey; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Pastor Lon Snyder will conduct the memorial service on Friday, September 27 at 11 AM at Redmon Funeral Home. Friends are invited for visitation Thursday, September 26 from 5 to 8 PM, and Friday from 10 AM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
