Elaine E. (Ahrens) Hedrick

SILVER LAKE - Elaine E. (Ahrens) Hedrick, 88, passed away December 24, 2025, at Mulberry Gardens Memory Care in Munroe Falls.

She was born at home, in the Slavic Village neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio, on February 2, 1937. She was a resident of Stow and the surrounding communities since 1966. 

Elaine had retired from Macy’s, (O’Neil’s Department Store), after 26 years of service. She was a member, along with her husband, Bob, of the Korean War Veterans Association, the Darrow Street Grange, and St. Stephen Lutheran Church, where she faithfully attended since 1966.  

Preceded in death by her husband, Bob, on December 30, 2022, and her parents, Charles and Margaret (Vidal) Ahrens, she is survived by her daughters, Donna (Todd) Montgomery, Denise (Rupe) Whisman, and Diane (Scot) Kruger; son, Dale (Teresa) Hedrick; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren, (with two more great-grandchildren on the way), and her brother, Donald (Carol) Ahrens, of Brunswick, Ohio.

Pastor John Corsi will conduct a memorial service, Monday, February 2, 2026, at 11 AM, at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 3725 Kent Road, Stow 44224, where calling hours will be held from 10 AM, until service time.

Private interment will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Stephen Lutheran Church.
