STOW - Eleanor Bosko, a beloved educator, devoted wife, and extraordinary mother, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the age of 49.

Born on June 3, 1976, to the late Melvin and Kathy Dreslinski, Eleanor was a lifelong resident of Stow, Ohio, a community she loved deeply and served with her whole heart.

Eleanor dedicated her professional life to the education and guidance of young people. After beginning her career with one year in the Cuyahoga Falls City School District, she found her true professional home at Kimpton Middle School in Stow, where she taught 7th-grade World History for 21 years. Eleanor was widely respected as a gifted and passionate educator. She possessed a rare ability to balance 21st-century skill development with timeless expectations of accountability, respect, and character. She believed deeply in public education and held an unwavering conviction that Stow’s teachers and administrators were among the very best, an ideal she modeled daily in her classroom and beyond.

While teaching was a calling, Eleanor’s greatest joy and proudest role was being a mother. She poured herself fully into raising her three children, guiding them with love, wisdom, and tireless devotion. Despite long days and full schedules, she made family her highest priority, cherishing every moment spent together. Like so many coaches’ wives, she quietly carried much on her shoulders, offering constant encouragement and steady strength. Her children were the center of her world, and her love for them was evident in everything she did.

Eleanor was also a familiar and beloved presence throughout the Stow community. She could be found in the stands at countless athletic events -football, volleyball, basketball, cheer competitions, lacrosse, and wrestling, not only supporting her husband, Dave, and their children, but cheering on students, teammates, and families alike. She loved Ohio State football, and, most of all, watching her children give their best effort in everything they pursued.

A woman of strong spirit and generous heart, Eleanor valued honesty, integrity, faith, and sacrifice. She sought beauty and peace in the world around her, especially by the ocean. The beach was her favorite place to be with family and friends. She loved the water, the sun, lighthouses, and the simple joy of sitting in the sand or swimming in the waves. Yet above all, Eleanor treasured time spent with the people she loved, whether gathered at a restaurant, a friend’s home, a sporting event, or quietly together at home.

Eleanor is survived by her husband of 22 years, Dave Bosko, and their three beloved children, Olivia, McKenzie, and Luka Bosko. She is also survived by her brothers, John (Maria) Dreslinski (children Alex and Allison) and Kevin Dreslinski; her aunt Kyle (Alex), her cousins John (JB) and Gwen, and she will also be missed by many cousins, aunts, and uncles of the Dreslinski family.

She will be deeply missed by her mother-in-law, Linda (Tim) Smith; her brothers-in-law, Daniel Bosko (sons Jake and Quinn), Jeff (Laura) Bosko (children Max and Alex), and Greg Bosko (daughters Lyanna and Brynn); her sister-in-law, Gina (Charlie) Moag (children Alexia, Cole, Liam, and Mikhail); and by the many friends, colleagues, students, and families whose lives she touched.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Kathy Dreslinski; her beloved Uncle John, and her father-in-law, Daniel Bosko, Sr.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Eleanor’s dearest friends - Gena (Mike) Dupan, Jenn (James) Roche, Suzie Bernhardt, Meghann (Kevin) Tichnell - who were not only friends but chosen family. Their love, loyalty, and presence meant more to Eleanor and her family than words can express.

Eleanor Bosko leaves behind a legacy of love, service, faith, and kindness that will live on through her children, her students, and all who were blessed to know her.
