Obituary of Elizabeth Pelligra

Elizabeth "Betty" (Steele) Pelligra, 93, died December 25, 2018, at Laurel Lake, surrounded by all her family.

Betty was born in Akron to Addis and Dessie Steele and graduated from Garfield High School. She worked various administrative jobs at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, where she met Benny, her future husband. They married in 1949 and she was a fulltime mom, raising their four children in Cuyahoga Falls. Betty was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls. She loved her eleven grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them at all family get-togethers, including the annual vacation to Oglebay Park.

Preceded in death by her husband, Benny, she is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and John Sharp, Nancy and John Dohner; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Denise Pelligra, all of Hudson, and David and Peggy Pelligra of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Jonathon Sharp, Matthew Sharp, Kevin Sharp and wife Madisson, Kelly (Sharp) and husband Kevin Emmendorfer, Kim Dohner, Ben Dohner and wife Kate, Molly Dohner, Amanda Pelligra, Hilary Pelligra, Grant Pelligra and wife Colleen, Elise (Pelligra) and husband Jake Ayers; great-grandchild Brett Ayers; sister, Marjorie Hoover, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial service at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, on Saturday, December 29th, 2018 at 11 AM, where family and friends may gather from 9:30 AM until service time.
