Elvera M Yurkosky

MUNROE FALLS - Elvera M. Yurkosky, 94, passed away on May 11, 2026.

Born in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Louis and Christine DeGregory; Ellie enjoyed a life filled with simple joys and treasured memories. She loved walking and hiking with friends, and shopping was truly her favorite pastime. She was also a devoted Cleveland sports fan who especially loved watching the Cleveland Guardians — whom she always proudly called the Indians — and the Cleveland Browns.

Ellie was the beloved wife of Larry Yurkosky, with whom she shared 72 wonderful years of marriage. Ellie was also preceded in death by her siblings, Maude and Jim. She leaves behind her cherished sons, Michael and Larry J. Yurkosky; grandchildren, Lindsay, Courtney, Amber, Joel, and Jamie. As well as great grandchildren: Amelia, Nathan, Christian, Lincoln, Annabelle, and Nolan and siblings Rita and Sylvester. Ellie will also be deeply missed by several loving nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Burial will take place at Stow Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be considered to ANI (Atlanta Neurological Institute). A research and caring center dedicated to patients with MS, Parkinson’s disease, and other neurological disorders.
