Eric Paul Lang (Rick) passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Benjamin (Chrys); daughter Molly Allison (Ron) and five grandchildren: Kendall, Collin, Lexie, Cooper, and Leah. He is also survived by sisters Robin O'neill (Jim) and Rona Knotts and brothers-in-law Bill Henry (Kris), John Henry (Judy), and thirteen nieces and nephews.
Eric was born on June 7, 1948 in Santa Maria, California. Two of Rick's passions were golf and baseball. He was on the board of the Cuyahoga Falls Amateur Baseball Association and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2002. It was his pleasure to coach many baseball teams over the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Jean Lang and brother Rand.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pawsibilities or The Humane Society of Greater Akron.
A memorial service followed by visitation will be held Tuesday, June 25 at 6:30 PM at First Grace United Church of Christ, 350 South Portage Path, Akron, OH 44320. Mr. Lang's video tribute may be viewed here.
