Eric R. Schaffer

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Eric R. Schaffer, 31, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away May 4, 2026.

Born in Akron, he was a lifelong area resident. Eric was employed as a bookkeeper with Mark A. Prendergast Inc. Beyond his professional life, Eric was a true competitor and sports enthusiast. He was at his best on the basketball court, and his passion for the game extended to nearly every sport, which he followed with the dedication of a lifelong fan. Eric was also a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

He was a loyal and loving son to Lee and Rainer Schaffer, a caring brother to Christine and Michael (Paola Andrea Regifo) Schaffer, and a proud uncle to his nephew, Rainer. He also shared a close bond with his grandmother, Maria Schaffer. Eric was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Anton Schaffer, and his maternal grandparents, Richard and Bonnie Edgar.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Road, Stow. A celebration of life will follow at Beau’s on the River at the Sheraton, 1989 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221.
