Gene Kelly, 83, of Cuyahoga Falls died peacefully on June 17, 2026, surrounded by family.

Born in Far Rockaway, NY, Gene dedicated his career to education as a speech pathologist and administrator and his leisure time to track and field as a referee and lifetime competitor (Ohio Senior Olympics Hall of Fame inductee 2019). He was known as a warm, humorous storyteller who could start a conversation with anyone.

Preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Nora Kelly (née Pearce), Gene is survived by his sister, Kathy Kelly; children Brian, Bud, Jen, Matt, Mike, and Scott; and 11 grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on June 27, 2026, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223, followed by a private interment.
