Geert (Gus) Schonfeld died at his Stow home on August 21, 2014 and is survived by wife Barbara, step-daughter Bethany (David) Richardson and grandson Jonas.
Born 1947 in Germany, he attended the University of Cologne for mechanical engineering. In 1976 Gus established in Akron the USA branch of Germany's Becker Company as president. From 2000 - 2006 Gus operated his own company, AFR Flow Technologies.
His memorial service at the Kent Methodist Church is being planned for October. Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224 will accept cards, messages and donations for his memorial.
