Obituary of George C. Stanish

STOW - George C. Stanish, 69, passed away peacefully March 24, 2018.

Born in Cleveland, George was a long-time resident of Stow. George proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in Korea and Vietnam with the 728 M.P. Battalion. He enjoyed motorcycles and RV camping.

Preceded in death by his parents, George C. and Anna Stanish, he is survived by his wife of 25 years, Susan (nee Hill); sons, George C. Stanish, III, and Charles Stanish; grandchildren, Carlee, Kyra and Riley; siblings, Patricia (James) Dimaline, Barbara Paulen and Robert Stanish; and many other loving family and friends.

Pastor Jim Case will conduct service Friday, March 30 at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow at 4 PM, and where friends may call from 1 PM until service time. Inurnment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
