HUDSON - Gerda Frank, age 87, of Parma, OH, passed away on March 24, 2026 after a long decline.

She was born in 1939 to the late Hugo and Paula Kronenwitter and lived her early years during the turbulence of WWII in Untersulmetingen, Germany. After graduating high school, Gerda went to secretary school. She immigrated to America at the age of 19 and later married Manfred H. Frank and went on to have one child, also named Manfred.

Gerda’s favorite hobbies were swimming, exercising, and gardening. She also loved to cook and bake which gave her an avenue in which to proudly share her heritage with her “schatzeles” (grandchildren). She traveled to her home country of Germany almost yearly until she was almost 80 years old.

Preceded in death by her parents; brother; and her husband, Manfred, Gerda is survived by her son, Manfred (Jody) Frank, and grandchildren, Ahnna (Mason) and Lauren (Nate).

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Saturday, March 28, 2026, at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 1821 Munroe Falls Avenue, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Friends may call 6 PM to 8 PM Friday, March 27, 2026 at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224.
