MUNROE FALLS — Gloria Rosemary Harrington, 83, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026.

Born in Buffalo, New York, Gloria eventually made her home in Munroe Falls, Ohio, where she built a life centered around family, love, and caring for others.

Gloria spent her professional life working with children, including time in preschool and opening her home to the many foster children she welcomed into her family. She was a wonderful homemaker who had a special gift for making everyone around her feel welcomed, comfortable, and loved. Gloria was a talented crafter who could sew just about anything and also enjoyed cooking. Above all, being a mother was the true love of her life.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Harrington; her parents, Robert and Dolores Hitzges; her daughter, Julie Harrington; her brother, Kevin Hitzges; and her brother-in-law, Vince Harrington, with whom she shared a particularly close connection.

She is survived by her children, Markham Harrington, Donnie Harrington, John (Cameo) Harrington, and Peter Harrington; grandchildren, Shamus, Connor, and Hailey; and sisters, Margo (Eric) Ogren and Dolly (Tom) Matuszek; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, Ohio 44224. Friends may call from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
