Gloria Jean Morris

December 10, 1941 — June 5, 2026

STOW - Gloria Jean Morris, 84, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026 in her sleep.

Born on December 10, 1941, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, Gloria was the beloved daughter of the late Stephen and Vincenza Fedor. They resided in the coal mining town of Cardale. She graduated from Redstone High School 1959.

Gloria Shared 46 devoted years of marriage with her husband Robert Morris whom passed in July 2023. Together they built a life centered on family, community, faith, and service.

Practicing her catholic faith by being God mother to several whom called her “God Mother”.

A dedicated professional and community leader, Gloria began her career at Firestone before moving forward in her banking career. She worked for Bank one and retired from chase as a Banking officer. Munroe Falls Ohio Branch everyone knew who Gloria was. She made sure to know the customers and honestly help all that she could. Several businesses within the community owe her a silent thank you, without her approval for their loans several establishments in Munroe Falls and Stow would not exist. She wasn’t only about business she made sure to become a faithful customer to all the business she helped open. Every week in the local Stow Sentry would be an article about Gloria and her contributions to the community.

Gloria was deeply involved in her community. She served on the local chamber of commerce, several other committees, and volunteered her time at the Redmon Funeral Home Grief Center. She was honored as the Stow Century Business person of the year, and was honored to be a part of the Stow Fourth of July

parade riding in a convertible. In her honor and dedication a commemorative brick at Stow City School Historical Site at Silver Springs with her named etched in it was placed at the main walkway.

After Retirement from Chase bank she was the assistant mayor to Mayor Hupp of Munroe Falls. A role she greatly enjoyed and approached with dedication and enthusiasm.

Gloria was a woman of strong faith in God. Her faith was a source of strength throughout her life. She demonstrated courage, strength, and perseverance touching countless lives through her kindness and service.

Beyond her professional and civic accomplishments, Gloria was known for her creativity, elegance, and hospitality. She took great pride in her appearance, loved creating and giving thoughtful gifts, and had a remarkable talent for wrapping presents beautifully. Her Christmas trees and holiday decorations were legendary among family and friends, transforming every season into something magical. Her pristine house, starched drapes, and immaculate detail to her clothing were a trademark of Gloria.

Gloria loved entertaining, she found joy in cooking, especially some favorite cabbage rolls and Texas hash, hosting gatherings, and bringing people together. She was in charge of most reunions with the past firestone employees and event which she enjoyed organizing.

She is survived by her Daughter Kelly Morris-Caceres and son in law Vicente Caceres. As well as her beloved granddaughters Marina and Georgia, who brought her great joy and pride.

She is also survived by the Morris Family Frank Edward Morris ( preceded in death by his wife wanda) , Lula Mae Morris Smith and her husband Jesse, Mike Monahan (preceded in death Ruth anne) , Judy Lynn Morris, Randy Pete Morris and his wife Susan, Jeffrey Paul Morris and his wife Janet, and along with several nieces and nephews.

Also Survived by several Deblasis Family members, Patti Himmelreich, and Rocky Deblasis Cousins, (preceded in Death Lois Newell, “Butchy “ , and Tony cousins. Survived by several family members in the Deblasis family.

Also survived by several longtime friends who helped along this difficult journey : Rebecca Cooperider, Karen Todd, Keith Mann, Maureen Cummings, Betty Sauner, Betty Hack , Christine and Family, Paul and Louise Wehstein, Gary Austin and Christie, Bernie and Pete Jubeck, Marget and Vern Herron, Pat, Teresa, Doug, and Marty Adkins, Rick knotts and Carol Morrisey, Dawn and Ashley Knotts.

Also preceded by Warren Campbell marriage 1965-1971. Preceded in death by Melvin and Wilma, Earl and Maryann Campbell, Ruthann and Ronald Armel, Audrey and Charles Mcnatt, Gary and Becky Campbell, (alive), Gilbert (passed away) and Mary (alive), Wesley and Joyce Campbell (alive) , Carson and Janet (passed away), and Tina and Nick( Passed away) several nieces and nephews.

Gloria will be remembered for her determination, generosity, faith, creativity, and unwavering dedication to her career and community. Her legacy will continue through the many people she touched.

The family would like to express gratitude of thanks to Serenity Hospice whom made the transition easy.

Sunrise Care facility to all whom took excellent care of her. Bath Creek Estates to helping her during her rehabilitation. To her primary care Doctors at Summa.

In accordance with Gloria’s wishes, there will be no viewing or formal service.

She asked simply to be remembered for the time she shared on this earth and the presence she brought to the lives of others.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

She will be missed and remembered by several friends, and family members.

Her last statement she wrote “Gloria Jean Morris faith in god was her stronghold. Her faith was inspirational and continues to provide strength and courage to all she met.”
