MUNROE FALLS - Guy Britton “Britt” VanMeter, 70, passed away October 20, 2026.

Britt was born in Akron, grew up in Stow, and has resided in Munroe Falls. Britt spent many years working as a plumber and was well known and respected for his work. He enjoyed relaxing and listening to his favorite old country music. Britt leaves behind a lifetime of memories, and stories that will continue to be shared by those who knew him.

He is together again with his deeply missed wife, Robin, and his beloved dogs Bucky, Mac, Muffy and Pluto.

He is survived by his devoted daughter and son-in-law, Amy Stang (Larry); son, Britt VanMeter (Jesse); grandchildren, Chase and Ali; bonus grandchildren, Sapphire and December; sister, Joyce Shahan (Blaine); sister, Linda Norton; brother, Tim VanMeter, several nieces and nephews, his granddog Spuds (“Charlie”), as well as his many loved family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Robin, mother and father, Geraldine and Britton VanMeter, sister, Vicki Light, and sister, Melody Traugh.

At his request, there will be no services.
