Obituary of Helen Grace Miller

Helen Grace Miller, 96, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2018.

She was born July 31, 1922 in Akron, Ohio to the late Harold and Grace Lias. Helen worked on the Goodyear Women's Squadron during World War II, and worked in the voting booth for over 30 years. She was an Honorary Life Member of PTA and Methodist Women. She was an active member of the Church of The Good Shepherd and Family of Faith.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Emerson "Joe" Miller, five brothers, and three sisters. She is survived by sons David (Lillian), Gary (Barbara), and Timothy (Colette); daughters Rebecca (Terry) Lingenhoel, and Rachel (Joseph) Vitez; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; brothers Raymond and Patrick Lias, and sister Caroline Myers.

The service will be held at Redmon Funeral Home on Monday at 6 PM, where friends may call from 4 PM until service time. The family acknowledges the entire staff of Summa Hospice for their excellent care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Summa, 444 N. Main Street, Akron 44310. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
