STOW- Helen Thirjung (Juhas), 90 years old, transitioned to her blessed reward on January 28, 2013. She was born on June 25, 1922 to Theresia and Mike Voglein. She was preceded in death by husbands, Bill Juhas and Joe Thirjung, brothers Nick and Frank Voglein, son-in-law Bob Gojkov, and step daughter Janice Merideth. She is survived by her beloved children, Dee (Paul) Vittorella of Cuyahoga Falls, Judy (Ed) Jesson of Stow, Bill (Diane) Juhas of Loudon, TN, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and sister Mildren Cochrun of Cuy. Falls. She also lovingly leaves her step-family: daughters Helen Lang, Julie (Mike) Gungle, Jeri Meadows, Josie (Vic) Walker, 18 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
Helen was retired from the Juvenile Court System and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls. She was an accomplished artist, a darn good euchre player and a cherished friend to many, including her cronies at Stow Glen Retirement Community.
Friends are invited to the Redmon Funeral Home for visitationTuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Dr. David Baker will conduct service at the First United Methodist Church of Cuy. Falls, 245 Portage Trail, Wednesday 10 AM with interment at Copley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church in her memory.
