Obituary of Herbert L. Hibbs



CUYAHOGA FALLS - Herbert L. Hibbs (Sonny), 85, went home to be with the Lord August 21, 2015. Born in Grafton, WV, he was a 60 year member of Calvary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher and had retired from the Ford Motor Co. in 1988 with 33 years of service. He loved to fish and watch the sunrise, was a Mr. Fix It and said he worked harder after retirement than he did while working at Ford. One thing he loved best was playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Hill in 1990, he is survived by his wife of 65 years Betty Lou, daughter Wenda Holmes, grandchildren, Teresa (Trevor) Westover, Amanda Holmes (Phil), and Joshua (Sarah) Hill, great-grandchildren, Taylor, Trevor, Jordan and Tara Ann.
Friends are invited to the Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Monday from 6 to 9 pm, and where Mr. Aaron Furman will conduct service Tuesday 11 am. Interment Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
