Obituary of Herbert M. Jackson



CUYAHOGA FALLS - Herbert M. "Coy" Jackson, 86, passed away January 31, 2017.

Born in Hazel Green, Alabama, Coy proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and retired from Ford with 30 years of service. Coy had a "green thumb" who loved gardening and was a member of the Cuyahoga Falls Men's Garden Club. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, lifting weights, coaching Little League and volunteering at the Haven of Rest Ministries. Coy was also a member of The Chapel where he attended Primetime ABF.

Preceded in death by his sisters, Marjean, Sandy, Tutie, Coy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marion; children, Carol (Bob) Keeton, Cheryl Wallin (Gary Pool), Peter Jackson, Raymond (Amy) Jackson, Kelly (Tim) Moore, Karen (Barry) Shaffer; 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Arbors of Stow for their care of Herbert.
Pastor Steve Bucy will conduct funeral service Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 12 Noon at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Rd., Stow, where friends may call from 10 AM until service time. Burial will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 70 W. Streetsboro Street, Suite 201, Hudson, Ohio 44236.
