Irene Streharsky

STOW- In loving memory of Irene who went home to be with the Lord on July 26, 2014.She was born in Akron, Ohio on June 30, 1937.

She was married to her husband of 55 years and 5 months, Steve Streharsky Sr., on February 7, 1959. Irene's hobbies were knitting, crocheting, cooking, reading books and tending to her flower gardens. She was a long-time member of Church of New Hope.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Maria Stefanka; daughter, Andrea Streharsky; and sisters, Mary Wright and Josephine Larrison. She is survived by her husband, Steve Sr.; daughters, Denise Diane George (Mark) and Tricia Streharsky; sons, Steve Jr. and David Mark (Regina); grandchildren Victoria and Sarah George, and Alexis and Luke Streharsky; brothers, Joseph and Frank Stefanka; and sister, Helen Streharsky.

Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Tuesday 5 to 8 PM, where Rev. Dr. Joel Soza will conduct services Wednesday at 11 AM. Interment Silver Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 70 W.
