Born in Granville, OH,Jack was a US Army veteran of World War II and retired from Hobart Manufacturing in Troy, OH. Jack was an alumnus of Denison University, where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and an Athletic Hall of Fame inductee as a three-sport athlete.Jack was also a member of Bath Church UCC and a sixty year Masonic member of Center Star #11 F. & A.M. in Heath, OH.
Preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth in 2005, he is survived by daughters Lee (John) Scheiderer of Port Orange, FL and Sharon (John) Blassingame of Stow; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services were held at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Department of Athletics atDenisonUniversity or donor's favorite charity.
